As world leaders gather in Glasgow for crunch talks about the future of our planet, a group of local artists are heeding radical artist Gustav Metzger’s call for all artists to take action, remembering damaged nature.
The action will take place in the town square and members of the public are invited to join in and contribute to the work. We hope to bring some of Metzger’s spirit to Launceston and reflect the events at the COP26 talks in Glasgow.
All welcome to come along and watch or actively participate on Thursday – this is a public art creation event.
You are also welcome to visit the art exhibition curated by Richard Sharland & Phil Barton in Terre Verte Gallery, Altarnun which is open each Thursday/Friday/Saturday 10 – 5 until 4th December. ‘Last Chance Saloon’ features 17 artists from Cornwall and the rest of the country for whom environmental concern is central to their practice.
